Nesting Triggers

I am attempting to nest an "On Change" trigger under a "New Item" trigger rather than create two flows. I would like, for example, an email to go out when an item is first created, but afterwards, only send out emails after the Status field is updated. When I place the On Change trigger under the email action, it just sits there, and the change never gets noticed.

Am I destined to have two different flows?

Hi please share your flow. Saying things like I placed xyz in a visualized tool without sharing... makes my brain explode.

Also I am assuming you are taling about SharePoint. again you dont mention you just say New Item

For SharePoint the trigger is the same for new or modified so I dont know what On Change even means, since I cannot see it.

Are you doing this in Teams? In PAC? In PAD?

That being said, you can easily check if a current Trigger is for a New or Modified Item
You can then further check IF its a Modified, that your specific column has changed, using the Get Changes. Of course you can also write a Trigger Condition

Long story short, with my guesses I have to make, thats your answer.

Please mark as the answer if it helps you and hopefully in the future :-) the feedback will help us who try to help you.
