Change data source name in powerapps

I created powerapps with multiple screens for lists , edit and display views with customization to edit and details forms. The datasource is SharePoint list.
The app is almost ready, and the business unit wants to change the name of the SharePoint list (data source of this powerapps).
What is the best way to address this?

1. Change the name of the SharePoint list: It looks working with the data source with Old List Name now but not sure if it will break anything later. When i use this list as data source in another powe apps, the data source name is New List Name.

2. Create new Sharepoint list with New List Name and create powerApp from the first: Its lot of work.

3. Any other effective ways solve this issue?

Thanks,

Nabin

    Hi @pNabin,

I just tested with the same situation. Before the list name was 'List A', I created the app and save it. Then change the list name to 'ListTest'. Edit the app and refresh the data source, the data source name remains the same.

Personally, I think you can just ignore this and continue to use this app. As long as the data source name is not changed in PowerApps, and its status is connected, then the formulas will continue use this old name and connect to the source correctly.

But if you are really worried about this and want to change the name, then you might need to delete the old connection and add the connection with new name again, then change all the data sources of the controls to the new connection. Including all the formulas that uses the data source name.

    Regards,

    Mona
