Hi Guys,

Very new to Power Automate firstly! I am researching how we replace our SPD wfs and have come up against a blocker with the below as to how to achieve:

Trigger - When a file is created (document library), check whether the title matches the title within a list, if so then update list item else create new list item.

any help would be really appreciated- thank you!

    Hi @Blurryface

Are you uploading the file under a list or document library? For document library the uploaded filename is the Title/Name? Please explain a  bit more about this?

    Thanks

Hi @abm thanks for your help with this

We are still using InfoPath doc library forms, so what happens is user fills out form, the form attachment and promoted fields are submitted to a document library. At this point then the aim is to then move the promoted fields (example unique title, staff no, full name) to a list.. we want to be able to check whether this user already has a record in the list and if so overwrite else create new list item. We also need to then delete the file from doc library regardless

    Hi @Blurryface

If you looking to filter the list by title please see below.

Above I am using the expression length to find whether it returned any record or not.

    length(body('Get_items')?['value'])

    Thanks
