choose from dropdown on Edge

Application has a dropdown to select a "community".

If I click away from the dropdown to "add UI Element", the dropdown box disappears, thus I cannot create a UI element.

I cannot even do a Snip & Sketch to show.  If I select the dropdown, as soon as I click on Snip & Sketch (or anywhere else) to get a picture , the dropdown disappears.

I have done a kludgy workaround as below but I should be able to automate it all.

Help?!

Simple flow:

Thanks in advance,

You can configure a delay in your snipping app, which will help you take a screenshot.

Can you show the HTML code of the element and the surroundings?

    This is the element

Captured with delayed capture (Thanks.  Did not know you could do this):

    This is the HTML code:

Alright, so it looks like you can expand the select element. It will probably have some option elements inside.

I suggest that you add the select UI element, and then activate the selector text editor mode in order to add a select:contains("%Community_Name%") at the far right end.

Alright, I added as indicated, at least I think I understood. I might not have noted but I cannot change any code on the web page.

    I added:

    I modified and added:

    dheminger1018_1-1663342111053.png

    I get:

Thank you so much for your help with this.

I used to be able to program in older languages (COBOL, RPG) but am not the most familiar with HTML and whatever PAD is written in.

Perhaps the "Select Menu Option in Window" was not the correct thing to add?

Hmmm, you would usually use the .... on web page actions to activate HTML elements in a browser instance.

But you can try modifying the only you have to use typical combobox sub-elements instead:

    We have a Bingo!

Set drop-down list value on web page is the answer

Where I got messed up was the dropdown list would disappear so I wasn't able to assign a UI element to it.

The aggravating thing is, I have used this action on some of my other flows 😞

Thank you so much for your help!
