Can some one help with populating a word template with out using the new premium connector?

Yes it is, however you can always go back to the old way if the company doesn't pay for the feature. You can do this with a library. Granted the new feature was more elegant I thought. There was a short time this feature was not premium and I was able to use it. It went premium, and boom, back to the old ways. Unfortunately, it is not paid for by the company.

Apologies I realise this is an old thread . I am planning on using Encodian Standard Subscription to populate a word template from a sharepoint list. We probably will require about 100 runs of this a month so am hoping to avoid the Microsoft Premium connector and use encodian Standard Subscription instead. Maybe two years later there is a more accurate picture available re licensing and if this is a legitimate use case for encodian ? tks N

Just to be clear on the misleading statement. There is no Microsoft built in action for populating a word template that isn't premium. Encodian is a third party solution, not Microsoft. Also although there is a free version of the Endocian connector it us limited to no more than 50 users per month. That is generous for a try out option, but pretty low for production usage.

Where does it state that this wouldn't work? The Encodian connector isn't premium, its standard... we also provide a 'Free' SKU containing no functional limitations but limited throughput.
I understand your point ref the fine line; but would you rather be aware of your options or not?
This thread includes miss-leading statements such as 'there is no any other action in Microsoft could populate word template.'... but this can be done with Encodian connector.
