Hi,

Say a user emails a standard template (excel) to a shared inbox.

Say it has sample data like

First NameLouis
Last NameStevens

can we parse out column B data to update a SP list? If not what is the best practice for someone outside an Org to update a SP list?

I know I could do it with a regular email and parse out data that way, but this is in regards to an excel attachment.

Thanks.

You can retrieve an Excel file from SharePoint or OneDrive and utilize Excel Online actions to extract its contents. Please be aware that this method is designed to read data within an Excel table. Additionally, it's essential to note that this approach primarily applies to files with modern extensions like 'xlsx.
