Publish PowerBI report automatically from OneDrive Business to Service, twice per day

Hello community,

I hope someone can help me solve this issue.

For reasons I will not explain here because they are too detailed, I need to automatically publish (not refresh) a Power BI report stored in my OneDrive for Business to the Service twice per day, even if I'm not on my PC.

Do you know how this can be achieved?

The published report must override the current version and update all 13 reports that use the same dataset.

Is this possible?

Thank you very much.

    Hi @PS-30050817-0, Basically, when you create any Power Bi report, it is basically created either using by Power Bi Desktop or Power Bi service.

    And when you create the Power Bi report, you publish that report in Power Bi workspace. And that workspace will have your dataset which is used in the report.

    Can you please help me what do you mean by "Power BI report stored in my OneDrive for Business"? Does that mean your Power BI file (pbix) is stored in your OneDrive For Business?

    And you want some automation which will take the pbix file from your OneDrive for Business and then automatically publish twice a day? You can try few things using Power Automate Desktop. Post your query on

    Basically, I didnt understand the requirement, however I would suggest you to post your question with some more details on Power Bi Forum as this forum is mainly for Power Automate.

    Hello,
    let me be more detailed.
    I would like to know if there is an automatic way to publish a report ( like I'm doing in the PowerBI desktop), without do it manually, specifying in the flow, the location of the file (OneDrive) and the PowerBI service workspace I want to upload the report on.

    Does this clarify better the requirements?

    Thank you for your replies
