(1) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 25
Hello Team

I would like to update same column value of my share point list using power bi report.

I added two step in my flow, The first one is running a query against a dataset and the second one just to Parse Json

now  I try to add step  "update ITEM share point list " but in the dynamic content I dont see the step before "Parse Json"

How Should I determine the ID number to be used in order to update the columns?

kind regards
marco

In order to do what you want to do, the data set query would need to contain the ID value of the item in SharePoint you want to update. You would then use this value in the Id field. Depending on how this is stored in your data, you might need to convert the value to an integer first. Otherwise, you need to establish some type of relationship between your dataset and SharePoint to update the item.

The data set query contain the ID, it's and integer Number. I dont know How to select the valute id in the field ID in the step "update item". If i select the step "create item" I able to link the field with the value ID coming from the "parse JSON" why in the step "update item" is not possibile?

No need to "Parse JSON".  Examine the payload that came back from Power BI. Iterate over "First Table Rows".  Grab the ID column from your item() object.
