Absence calendar

Hi everyone,

I already made a few flows before but for this one I'm not sure if it's even possible.

I would like to sync absences from every employee of our company to another Group calendar so that we have a general overview.
It should be possible to copy them but I'm not sure what happens to absences that someone deletes or changes after the event was copied before. It should really sync.

Is it possible to create this with Power Automate? Any other things I should pay attention to, before getting started?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Try to google for "InOutBoard Flow for Office 365". You can use it as a base.

    Hi

That sounds simple, but technically it means:

    • Collecting absence events from all users
    • Syncing creates, updates, and deletions to a shared calendar
    • Keeping everything consistent and avoiding duplicates

So, you’re not just copying events you want true synchronization system.

Power Automate can do it, but it is a bit more complex because there is no true delta sync. You would have to a add logic to compare and remove missing events. The flow must have delegated access to all user calendars, or run under a service account with admin Graph API permissions. That’s hard to manage securely.

Maybe have a look at Teams → Shifts app?

    Hi @Vieken,

Only problem is keep track of changes

    Option 2
Check this event base also looks like it is possible to get changes, You need to store the "skiptoken" some place where you can use for next time.

    Thanks,
    Vejai SH
