Hi,

If i create a recurrence flow, say doing something every day, how can I create a condition to stop such recurrence?

I don't want the recurrence  to go on forever.

Thank you.

I thought that a control terminate action would work - it didn't.....

    Still looking for an answer.

I had success stopping a a recurrence Flow by using the Flow Management - Stop workflow action.

Insert some logic to determine when you want the Flow to stop and then use Flow Management - Stop Flow.

The Stop Flow action requires you to select your Flow.

The Flow in the image below stops after the first run.

    Hi @scheu,

Do you want to stop a recurrence flow?

I agree with @ScottShearer's thought almost, I think the "Stop Flow" action of Flow management connector could achieve your needs.

The "Stop Flow" action of Flow management connector is used to disable a flow within your Flow environment. You could consider take a try to create a another flow as below to stop the specific recurrence flow:1.JPG

In addition, if you want to use this connector to manage flows in your Flow environment, you must have a Environment admin permission on your Environment. More details about Flow management connector, please check the following article:

    Best regards,

    Kris

If you use the stop flow, will it turn off the flow and not allow it to run for any new flows submitted OR does it only stop the remainder of that specific running flow?

I guess turning the flow off for now and turn it on when need to run. Anyways whenever you turn it on, you will set the recurrence frequency to whatever interval we want it to run.

    Thanks.

    @AdyG

If you only want to run a Flow occasionally and you are using a recurrence trigger, I suggest removing the recurrence trigger and replacing it with a Button trigger.
