Hi guys,

So the thing is I am working on a SharePoint On-Premise but the work load is too high for me and thinkin if there is a way that could be able to use Power Automate.

Since I've read a bit the answer is no (for the licensing), but I prefered to ask here before take any other decision.

Thanks!

    Hi

Yes, you can use it through the On-premises data gateway and the SharePoint connector.

I'd also like to mention, that depending on what scenarios you want to cover, you can also use Power Automate Desktop without the need for Cloud.

Now there is of course license requirements there, just as there are with Power Automate Cloud. In Addition you can integrate activities that go across Cloud and Desktop in some scenarios that won't be covered by Cloud Alone.

So the previous responders are correct as long as you have the ability to host a Data Gateway you can use Cloud, if you cannot, then you can look at use RPA on Desktop (or virtual machine so attended or unattanded)

So a couple of options. Of course there are things like UiPath for RPA and n8n, so check those out as well.,

    Cheers

So I am trying to connect but the thing is that when introducing the username and password. I use my @ as username but I think it doesnt work like that.
But then when I copy paste the site of the SharePoint On-Premise, it doesn't get it... :(

The GateWay is created but I don't know what I am doing wrong in the last steps. As in the video it should return something different but it just says I am not getting the right site or it has no coincidences.

Where do I get the username the video shows?
    Thanks!

    That’s your domain/username.

If you’re unable to connect using the “@” format (e.g., user@aca.com), you can get the correct domain\username in one of the following ways:
From the Person column or Permissions page in SharePoint.
Using a PowerShell script Or by calling the REST API endpoint:
    https://yoursharepoint/_api/web/ensureuser('user@aca.com')

Replace user@aca.com with your actual username and yoursharepoint with your SharePoint site URL.
