At my workplace we use an itinerary (basically just an excel spreadsheet) where we record the teams whereabouts for our manager day to day. This is mainly for safety reasons. We each indicate whether we are in a particular office, wfh, or on site. The problem is this spreadsheet is rarely updated because it is quite cumbersome. I would like to try and improve that by using Power automate or perhaps Power Apps to create something that schedules a dialog box to appear each day on the users screen where they can quickly select the location they are at on that day (basically one of 5 options) then the dialog box closes and the information is recorded in some way for the manager to review at a later date. Ideally where it is recorded should be a spreadsheet too, that way it can still be updated manually and edited if necessary. It would be great if this was incorporated into a single app using power apps too but that's not essential.
Does anybody have any ideas of where/how to begin? It would be really useful as I have had a play around with Power automate and its not as straightforward as I hoped 😄
