Getting a row from Excel Online (Business) giving error 404

Hi,

I have a Flow which has to get a value in an Excel online Table.

The key row contains the displayname of a user and I use "created by Dyplayname" as Key, as I want to get a value for the user that created the list entry.

The flow returns an error on this point with Error status 404, message "No line found with ID "XXX" "...

Any idea? Sorry if it's unclear 😉

Thanks!

    Hi @dgoguet ,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow's configuration?

Could you please share more details of your excel file?

I have made a test on my side, please take a try with the following workaround:

Please make sure you have selected the correct Key Column and Key value.

    Thanks for your answer,

In fact, I tried with a very simple flow, manual execution then Excel get row action. Yes, I am using the correct Key Column and Key Value.

I just ran into a simple fact:

The flow works until I add formulas in some of my Table Columns... As soon as I add a formula in a column (even a really simple one), I get a 404 error... Is there a know problem at this point?

    Thanks again

    Hi @dgoguet ,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow's configuration?

Could you please share more details of your excel file?

Then I can do more test for you.

    Hi,

    My flow is very simple:

    flow.png

    My Excel file as well:

    excel1.png

If I run the flow on this simple table, it succeeds:

    result 1.png

But when I add columns to my Excel Table, the error seems to be random. In the example below, I could add the "Cumul" column and run the flow successfully, but when I added column "1", it failed:

    Excel2.png

    result2.png

This is quite strange as the behaviour seems random... Sometimes It fails when I add one column, sometimes I can add 3 columns before failure... and sometimes it runs the first time but it fails if I run it a second time, even without adding a column...

The Excel file is located on a sharepoint library.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi @dgoguet ,

I have made a test on my side, it has the same issue with you when add a new column to the table.

I will raise this issue to MS Team,  I think it will be fixed in the future.

Any update on this? I‘m also getting this error since I added some rows with formulas referring to prior columns. Before that, the flow worked.

Thank you for the detailed explination. My flow was failing and I could not find out why for days.

Removing formulars and single number columns fixed it for me.

I had the same problem, my flow sometimes executed successfully and sometimes not, after removing 2 extra columns I've added to the excel that my form has created, leaving it with the default form columns plus my form's columns, everything was working fine. So if you want to store extra information create another excel and leave the excel that the form has created intact. In my case I was trying to calculate workdays using a new calculated column in the form's excel file, after the problems I've mentioned earlier by reading you post I have created a separate Excel to make the calculations and everything runs smoothly.
