Post to Yammer using MS Flow - how to tag people

When in Yammer you can use @ to tag your colleagues

But when you post to Yammer group from MS Flow using 'Post Message', how do I tag people ?

I used to use @[FirstName][LastName] in the MessageText field and it worked fine but recently it came out as a text rather than a hyperlink to the user that I tag to.

    Hi @jikur ,

    Please try to use the following message format to tag user:

    2.PNG

    3302539264 represents the user id, you can click the corresponding user in the yammer portal to get the user id.

    After clicking on the corresponding member, you can see the corresponding user id in the URL.

    This works if the same user has to be tagged. But how can we do it if the user varies each time the flow runs?

    @Reema could you solved this?

    HI guys,

    I have solved how to do this dynamically:

    every Yammer group has the option 'Post to this group by email'

    - click to get the email address of the yammer group you want to post to

    - in Power Automate use the 'send email notification' connector

    - send the mail to the yammer group email you got in step 1

    - you can then use href="mailto:name@email.com" to tag people

    - you can also include images 🙂

    cheers
