Opening SharePoint Documents from Power Automate

Hi Everyone,

Looking for some guidance on whether the scenario below is possible with Power Automate:

1. We have a document library that contains 25 or so columns of meta data. Examples being Approver, Reviewer, Phase.

2. We use this metadata via quick parts to populate the header of Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents.

3. There are instances where an metadata needs to be changed on multiple documents, Approver for example, and is done via Grid View.

4. In order to update the header in the files, each document where the metadata was changed needs to be opened by an end user so that the properties are refreshed. This can of course be tedious and time consuming when we're looking at double-digit documents or higher.

5. Is there a way, via Power Automate, to loop through and open or mimic opening the documents, so that the header meta data is refreshed, without an end user having to do it manually one at a time?

I haven't found any clear options for doing this, so I appreciate any insight or guidance anyone can give me.

Thanks

I don't think you can do that on the Power Automate service, but with PAD (Power Automate Desktop) that should be possible. You can use a local  OneDrive Sync folder instead of the default web location of the sharepoint document library.

Thanks ibendlin for the recommendation. I'll look into it and see what can be done with PAD.

@ibendlin, accepting your suggestion as the solution, although I haven't been able to build anything yet.
