Start and wait for approval for external approvers

Hi,

Does anyone know how I can add external approver email addresses to my flow/active directory/email contacts (not azure as I don't have this). Currently my flow fails as the external email addresses are not recognised. I should add that it would work if I input one external email address only but I have the flow linked to a spreadsheet that selects specific email addresses based on responses so it needs to be more dynamic.

Many thanks,

    Hi @Diya1

The approvals action would fork only for inter organization people or if you have created a guest user for the external person.

You can try using the send email with options action instead that should work fine for external folks (however it does not allow the user to add comments like in approvals)

    Hope this Helps!

    Hi @Diya1,

If you have no Azure, it is impossible to send approval to external approvers, but if you have it, you could share and assignment to people in other organizations by creating Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) guest users—approvals are still in the original organization so that they can be managed by their tenant administrators. However, users from other tenants can be invited as guests and then assigned roles, giving them permission to participate in processes.

Or you could refer to @yashag2255 's workaround, using the "Send email with options" action to achieve it.
