Convert Outlook Attachment to Link to reduce Outlook OST Size

Hello Guys, My Org has lot of users facing High Outlook OST size issues. I was thinking if there is a way, Outlook attachment gets saved into OneDrive and original attachment is replaced with Some sort of Link to that OneDrive Location. ... This will overall reduce the OST file size. .. I was able to achieve 1st part but unable to replace the original attachment as a Link... Does anyone has any suggestions

Since you are the one placing the attachment onto the OneDrive you should know where you put it, and be able to include a hyperlink to that location in the email - without needing to retrieve file meta data.

Actually, It seems that we are facing roadblock. Basically, I'm aware that OneDrive Attachment can have its own Link But there is no way you can associate that attachment link to its original email.

Even MS article says that you have to delete the email manually to reduce the OST size after saving the attachment into OneDrive.
