Running From cloud doesnt open page on web browser

Hi

I have a PAD flow which launches a new Microsoft edge to a web page, it enters some information and downloads a file.

This flows runs great when run from the desktop

I had set up an Cloud flow of Recurrence then Run a flow built with Power Automate for desktop. This runs in attended mode and is set to run once a day.

When i run the cloud flow, i can see the web page open but it doesnt navigate to the desired web page. it just has 'about:blank'

The error message received is quite long but starts with "Problem while executing action 'LaunchEdgeCloseDialog'. Failed to assume control of Microsoft Edge (communication with Power Automate web extension failed) "

I have removed the extension and re added it, but got the same error.

Can anyone advise

Thanks

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @QQRhino ,

Please check your power automate desktop version and runtime version. Both should the same.Your facing error due to this only.

Here’s how you can check the versions of Power Automate Desktop and the runtime:

    Power Automate Desktop Version:

1.Open the Power Automate desktop app on your computer.
2.Click on the “Help” tab located at the top of the app.
3.From the drop-down menu, select “About Power Automate”.
4.A window will appear displaying the version number of Power Automate.

    Power Automate Runtime Version:

1.Go to “Add or Remove Programs” in your computer’s settings.
2.Find “Power Automate Desktop” in the list of installed programs and click on it.
3.The version number of the runtime should be displayed.

(Note:- if you got your solution you can mark as solution and gives kudos)

    Thanks & Regards

    Thank you for the reply

    My versions didnt match.

I ended up having to uninstall everything and re install as power automate said it was up to date.

I have them both now on version 2.45.385.24170

However i still have the same issue.

    Thanks
