Formatting Date Display in Dynamic Content/Send an Email

Hi All - I am working on a customized notification email from a SP List that includes date fields that I'm picking from dynamic content. In the final email it is formatting the dates as yyyy-mm-dd it might seem minor, but this is confusing for my contacts as they are used to mm-dd-yyyy format. Any help is greatly appreciated. Have a good evening!

Hi @Crys686 ,

You can use expression to modify the default format of date.
Please try this:
formatDateTime(DynamicContent,'MM-dd-yyyy')

Hi there - thanks so much for the reply - I was able to get it to work with this:
formatDateTime(parseDateTime(items
('Apply_to_each')?
['Internal_x0020_Due_x0020_Date']),
'MM-dd-yy', 'en-US')

I'm trying to do the same thing with a field "Due Date"
formatDateTime(parseDateTime(items
('Apply_to_each')?
['Due_x0020_Date']),
'MM-dd-yy', 'en-US')
It will add the function to the body of the email but as soon as I hit save it disappears, but it doesn't do that with the Internal Due Date - do you know why it's doing that?

Hi @Crys686 ,

Do you mean it disappears when you save the flow?
Please check if you clicked OK after you entered expression.
Or try to put the expression in a Compose and insert the outputs of Compose in email body.
