BUG: New designer mis-identifies action if called "Get Response"

Hi All,

 

If a connector contains an action called "Get Response", the new builder will mistakenly replace the action with the inbuilt "Get Response" action.

This does not occur in the classic builder.

 

 

UPDATE: Upon further investigation it looks like it's actually any action where the operationId is "Response"

    Hi @Stand-wise ,

     

    Yeah unfortunately there is a long list of issues in the new designer; IMO, this should have been released as a preview item and a lot of more work needs to be done to make this actually usable.  Here's what most people do:

     

    1) Create a new flow

    2) Automated, Scheduled, Instant

    3) Name, select trigger or skip

    4) SWITCH TO CLASSIC

     

     

    In short, build 100% in CLASSIC.  After your flow is completed and tested, if you want to explore the new designer, review after building in classic.  There are more than 100 broken things in the new designer, and they are not "features", they are everyday tasks and functions that don't work.

     

    That doesn't mean I don't love the new designer; I'm just suggesting it is not dependable yet.

    Thanks @trice602. I agree that when building it is often useful to switch to the new builder. 

    Unfortunately, in our situation we have an official published connector which is used by thousands or users daily. It's difficult to explain to our users that they need to switch to the classic builder when using specific actions in our connector. Would love to know if there's some medium where we can raise bugs with the new builder so that the developers can be made aware.

    Hi @Stand-wise ,

     

    Couple of notes:

     

    1)  You only have to switch to classic once in a flow.  So if you need to work in classic and go there, your flow will remain in classic mode by design in future visits.

     

    2) You can switch to classic and when you do, you will have the opportunity to complete a survey why, provide more details, and even an email address.

     

    I'm not in the circle but what I have heard is there are thousands of issues and they are fixing lots of things every day.  But in my opinion and based on what I have heard, MOST developers are not using the new designer in production environments.

     

    You also don't see a ton of screenshots of the new designer here in the forums, you typically see screenshots of classic mode.
