Set a default value for my Drop-down list, why it is not sync with sharepoint

I have the following drop-down list inside sharepoint :-

but inside power app create form the drop-down is been shown without default value, as follow:-

any advice if powerapp should sync the default value from SharePoint? if not then how i can set a default value for this drop-down?

    The default value in sharepoint lists are only used by Sharepoint when creating new records as far as I believe.  You need to look at the "Default Selected Items" property of your drop down list to have that auto-populate.

    @Slaverty  ok thanks but i can not find  way to set a default value for the drop-down..any advice .

    Yes, the "Default Selected Items" property of your drop down.

     

    That is where you set what the default value of a drop down is.

     

    Eg, drop down's "Items" property = ["Save As Draft", "Submit to PMO"]
    Drop down's "Default Selected Items" = "Save As Draft"

    Ah, my code would have only worked if you were manually defining your items.

     

    As you're pulling your items from somewhere, I believe this is what you require in your "Default Selected Items" field.

     

    First(Choices([@Project].DraftStatus))
