It seems I'm unable to edit saved expressions while using the experimental expression editor. Is this a bug or something I can resolve?
Details:
- When Experimental Features is disabled, I'm able to save and edit expressions normally. I can simply click on the saved expression and the editor window pops up.
- When Experimental Features is enabled, I can create and save an expression like normal. Once saved, however, I'm unable to edit that same expression again.
- Clicking on the saved expression does not result in the editor window popping up. Nothing happens.
- While I can peek the code, I'm unable to edit in this window. I receive the note: "Cannot edit in read-only editor"
- The issue persists across different browsers (Brave, Edge, Chrome), persists regardless of the browser size, and persists after clearing the browser cache.
The video below shows me toggling between the current and experimental editor. When I transition over to the experimental editor, and you see my cursor hovering over the saved expression, I'm trying both a single and double click. Nothing works. I can deleted the saved expression though.
Obviously, there are several workarounds. What I'm looking for is whether a solution exists so that I don't need workarounds. I understand as well, that this is an experimental feature that may have bugs and is unsupported by Microsoft. I'm just looking to see if someone knows a fix. From tutorials where the presenter is using the experimental editor, this doesn't seem to be an issue.
Thanks for your help!
Having the same problem. Would be great to see this fixed!
