Saving an image to a sharepoint list

Hi,

I have imported data from an excel spreadsheet where one of the fields is a path to a file stored locally - so (for example) C:\User\Martin\Photos\pic1.jpg

The list is a couple of hundred items long.

I would like to be able, in PowerApps, to read the local paths and upload that image to a Sharepoint list, were there is a column set up for them (type:image).

I've read that this isn't possible, but most of those entries are a couple of years old. I'm hoping that there's now a way of doing it?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Martin_W ,

    No unfortunately, Power Apps is cloud-based and can only access local drives if uploading a file manually (which opens a file search box) - it cannot view local images.

    Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.

    Actually, the image files - which i have always treated as local files - are on OneDrive so I've found that I can store the onedrive URL in the list, and then the image control will display the image from its url.

    So that seems to work.

    @Martin_W ,

    Yes, that is correct - OneDrive is in the cloud
