I would recommend creating a scheduled cloud flow that runs once a day (twice if needed), or even hourly. It really depends on your requirements.
With a Get Items action, define a filter query to filter out those that are past due.

Building a Power Automate flow that will send an email with multiple SharePoint items can be a bit complex.
