Flow automatically changing email connector

We have a flow that is owned by a generic account which is triggered when a particular email is received into the mailbox of that generic account, and it works great.

The issue I am having is that every time I edit the flow, the mailbox connector on the trigger changes to my email account and if I don't change it back before I save the flow, the trigger will not work as my account does not have permission to the mailbox.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening and how do I stop it from occurring?

Based on what I've encountered, this is the normal behavior. even when the flow was created inside a solution.

Every connection will be seamlessly synchronized with the one that modify the flow.

Therefore, only the generic account should have the permissions to modify the flow.

Hye abouchaalaBAIT, I appreciate you taking the time to respond and while this is the way the system is working, I disagree that it is anything but "normal".

When I set something up I don't expect it to change unless I actually go in and change it, it is far from seamless.

I don't have access to the generic account and nor do I need it or want it. Think of it this way, if you have a contractor/3rd party working on a flow for you, would you want the flow to automatically change to them, NO. Would I want to give them access to the generic account, NO.

What about cloud flows that are owned by an organisation, that you can buy a license for, would you want anyone and everyone that edit's the flow to have the connectors change whenever they do work on the flow?

I can appreciate what you are saying in that this is the way it works and providing an explanation as to why, I just don't agree with it.

I don't agree with it either 😅 I'm just telling you what I experienced!

You can check it with Microsoft by opening a support ticket.

Do you have a link to where I could do this?
