I have an online SharePoint document library and we have the following scenario regarding the Request Sing-Off feature:-
so this seems weird. i thought that pending documents can only be edited by the approver... as in this case UserB will be approving the changes made by userC and not UserA... any advice on what is going on?
That is how content approval works. Best way is to hide the documents with Pending status from general users and only show it to the approvers.
In short, everyone sees all approved documents in All Items view
Approver sees all the documents with all statuses.
And finally, create a permission level that does not have create views permission for end users so that they can not change views.
