Sometimes, data isn't being submitted to the SharePoint List

Hi all, I have a PowerApp that our team has been using for a year now which stores data into a SharePoint List. Recently, the team has been reporting that data they submit via the app is not being saved to the SharePoint List at times. They then have to go back into the app and resubmit their form. The app hasn't been changed at all. It just seems randomly the data does not want to save to the SharePoint List. I utilize Patch to submit the form data.

The app was built by another employee who experiences some latency/throttling issues with Microsoft products (SharePoint, Power BI, etc.) at certain times during the day. Would this be contributing at all to it, the app developer's credentials? I'm not sure. I'm not able to find anything wrong with the app itself; when I test it, my submissions go through and there are no errors being recorded by the app itself when it does not go through. Any ideas?

Provide notification after your patch code. It's not possible that sometimes data is submitted and sometimes not. I manage a list with more than 6000 records where 200 records are added daily. I have not faced any issues till now.

What kind of notification? I do direct them to a "Thank you" screen when they click the button to submit the form.

Wherever your submit code or patch code is just after that

    Notify("Success",NotificationType.Success)

Just so user know that data is submitted.

Just adding that after a patch formula doesn't necessarily mean the patch was successful, that could still run with errors in the data source. That'll work great in the OnSuccess property of a form, though.

See here for recreating an "onsuccess" property to a patch:

    Hi @xz1 ,

Funnily enough I have this exact issue. Input form, OnSuccess has notification for success when successfully uploaded. Form Default mode set to Edit, Submit Button has SubmitForm, ResetForm, and NewForm formulas with correct name, and when I hit submit for the data it sometimes works 3x in a row, sometimes doesn't upload. No changes have been made to the App. It is very possible and extremely frustrating to figure out the issue.

    Thank you,

    Brandon
