Copy a file from Site Assets to different document library

Hi everyone,

as you can see in the title, I want to copy files, especially pictures which users have uploaded to sites, to a different document library for sorting.

The workflow would be as follows:

1. User uploads a picture into a site.

2. The flow copies the picture to the target document library.

3. User gets a mail to check the metadataof the picture.

I tried to solve this with the "When a file is created" trigger on the SiteAssets folder with no success.

Do you have an idea what I am doing wrong?

    Hi @Dave01

Could you please provide the screenshots of the Flow configuration?

I tried to reproduce your scenario and it works fine for me.

In my flow, if the uploaded file is a picture, it will be copied to the image library and send an email to user, others file will be copied to another library.

Flow in details you can refer to:

Use Condition to determine whether the uploaded file is a picture

If it is a picture, copy it to the image library and send an email

If it is not a picture, copy file to another library.

When a picture is upload to first library, it will be copied to image library and I will receive an email as below:

    Hi @v-LilyW-msft,

    thank you for the answer.

You're right, this flow is working with a normal document library.

In my case, I am trying to copy newly uploaded pictures from the /SiteAssets/SitePages folder. So, everytime someone uploads a picture to a site, this picture will be copied.

In that case, the flow won't trigger at all.

    Best Regards

    Hi @Dave01

The /SiteAssets/SitePages folder, does it exist in the 'Dokumente' library?

    Best Regards

    Hi @v-LilyW-msft

yes, it was created the first time an image was uploaded.

    Hi @Dave01

Seems to be no problem. Please try to delete the trigger and recreate it.

When selecting a folder, please click this icon to find the correct folder

    Hi @v-LilyW-msft

just tried it again, but with the same result.

In the meantime I found a small mistake from my part: I used the wrong document library. "Dokumente" is the same as the standard "Documents"-library, while I am trying to use the standard "Site Asset"-library ("Websiteobjekte" in the screenshot) which is not available in the dropdown. I now took the id of the library as a custom value.
