Hi,

I have requirement to process data in D365 for operations once its created/updated from PowerApp.  Let's say I have created an app to create PO in AX and would like to confirm the PO from the app. what is the best way to implement this ?

Should we write custom service to process data , if so, how do you call services from PowerApp ?

Regards,

Touseef

    Hi Touseef,

Did you mean that you want users to create PO for AX in PowerApps, but also want it to get some kind of confirming like sending an approve email to someone?

If this is the situation, you can connect the data in PowerApps and then start a flow in powerapps.

    For your reference:

    Hi Mona,

Thanks for your reply, what I want is to be able to process data from Powerapp. CURD operation will allow me to create the PO what I want is to run an AX function on that data.

In normal interfaces ( let's say in AX2012) you would publish a custom service and then call it parameters, and then the logic in AX will update the data as required.

is it going to be the case in Powerapp as well.

    Regards,

    Touseef

    Aoa Asama,

solution is simple, you need to create custom service from D365 operation , similar to AX2012. and then consume custom service in  PowerApp. you would need to create a Flow to call your custom service by passing your document id ( PO or journal id). then call that flow form a powerapp button.

let me know how you get on..

    Regards,

    Touseef
