Everyone must approve from a separate list of approvers

I am trying to setup an Everyone must approve approval flow. The Discipline Lead should be from a separate list which qualifies the selection criteria. Please see image below for more details.

The flow is triggered on the Change Management Template. Depending on the Discipline name selected, it should fetch the email address from a separate list named Project Master. You will notice the primary key is Discipline code <-> Discipline Name.

If the selection has only 2 disciplines then the approval should go only to the selected discipline leads.

@SunShenoy  So you have Discipline Names from Change Management Templates, i hope the output from Discipline name is an array. Based on each array value you need to filter Discipline code and get discipline Email id. Pass those email ids in your approval action.

Hint- initialize one string variable and append all disciplines emails using append to string action after get items action.

I have managed to create the array and append it with the selected disciplines. I am confused how to pass the selection further to the approval process since the email address against the discipline code lies in a separate list named Project Master.

@SunShenoy  Use String variable for appending emails. All appending value should be separated by semicolon ';' then pass variable output to Approval action.

    >initialize another String variable : you initialized Array variable after that do this.

    >after Get items, use append to staring action and select Discipline email value and add semicolon.

    > Now your variable has all discipline email separated by semicolon.

    >Pass variable output to Approval action.

Tell me column type of Discipline Name in template list.

Column type of Discipline Name is a Lookup from the other list Project Master Column Name Discipline Code.

I could probably change them both to Discipline Code to make it simpler.. 🙂

@SunShenoy  So your array variable has all Discipline names? Use one compose and pass array variable outside apply to each to compose input. Then run flow and check compose output if it have Discipline names.

After that use one more apply to each and pass compose output in loop then use get items again to filter Discipline email and append to string variable. This string variable will have each emails.

Hi Hardesh, I am following your advise and it is going well so far. At least the concept is understood.

However do I need to initialize a separate string variable as the one I have is only an Array variable containing the discipline names. Thanks, Sunil.
