Using an Image from a list to populate a word template

I'll keep this simple - I have a Sharepoint list with 2 fields - and name and a picture. When a new item is added to the sharepoint list I want to pull the name and the picture and populate a Word template.

I know how to do almost everything including the Word Template using properties and an image control. However I cannot figure out to pull the image from the Sharepoint List column so I can add it to the word document. I know there is a get attachments action but is this the right way?

@pdelahunty  so I understand that you have field in SharePoint where you are entering Picture URL. Would that Picture URL refer to location in SharePoint, if yes, then you can use "Get file content using path" action to get the image file using its Path from SharePoint field, and then use the output of Get File Content in the word template to insert the image in word document.

Thanks for the answer but the image is not stored as a file on the Sharepoint. The image is stored in a list column of type image.

@pdelahunty not sure which image type of column you are referring to. SharePoint has Hyperlink or Picture type of column which takes the URL of the picture. Are you using a image/document library where images are stored? can you share the screenshot of Library/List Settings page, so i can understand it better? Also have you developed the flow, if yes then please share screenshot of your flow.

I think pdelahunty had the same issue as I'm having. I'm testing out how to create word docs using the Populate a Microsoft Word template. I've included several columns - mostly Single line of text, but also Date and time, and Image.

    Createcol1.png

This is the list of columns:

    ColList1.png

When I create a New Word document, Editing > Open in Desktop App, and try to Insert > Quick Parts,  Document Property, none of the Image columns are listed.

I can add a picture content control to the template, but then in Power Automate, Populate a Microsoft Word template, the picture content control shows as a field, but the dynamic content does not include any of the image columns.

Am I/are we doing something wrong? Is this a known issue?

    Regards

    Nick
