Draft Email Message Action - HTML and Plain Text

I am trying to create an email draft using the "Draft Email Message" action. I am using HTML in the body of my email, but no matter if I click the Code View button or not, every time the flow runs and the draft is stored in my email, it shows as plain text, rather than the html code. Any help regarding this? Thanks!

Please share your flow, also share examples of the drafts please.

Its possible your draft/main mode in outlook is simply not set to HTML and thats why

You need to specify the content type in the body. You can have a look in my article here: https://willpage.dev/2024/01/08/sending-emails-with-inline-attachments-in-power-automate-logic-apps/

However, this screen shot on its own should be enough:
Note the contentType property needs to be alongside the content within the body property of the HTTP request and the content type must be all caps HTML - not the MIME content type like you would expect, e.g text/html or whatever.

    @Michael E. Gernaey
This is the flow. Very basic.
And this is what the draft looks like:

For some reason, it always gives the plain text of the html code I use.

    Hi

I'm having the exact same issue in a CoPilot flow.  Did you ever find the solution to this?

Send email V2 works as expected, but Draft an Email displays the underlaying HTML in the resultant draft email.  It's very frustrating when MS isn't consistent.

I cannot see where to enter the content type as suggested by WillPage as the interface in CoPilot flows is slightly different to a PowerAutomate flow; it doesn't have a result body input box, and the Code View isn't editable.

Have you have found the answer or work around?

    Hi

Would you be able to share an example within a CoPilot studio flow?

    Thank you

I have the same issue, i am unable to find the right Draft Types to use on the Draft an Email Message to allow HTML.

Did you find a solution to this problem?

just use a GRAPH request as I've already suggested.

I found this article: How to draft an email message with Power Automate
So if you are using the old designer, it sends it as plain, as long as you remove the html tags
