When I connect to an Excel Online table and I create an edit form for the table, PowerApps inserts _x0020_ in the DataField and DisplayName for each space in the column header. Is this a bug? Is there a way to prevent that? I have to unlock and edit each DisplayName for each DataCard seperately after import.
Hi JMoritz,
There is no connection for Excel online. Did you meant that you used cloud-storage account, such as OneDrive? If so, I just tested with an Excel file stored on OneDrive and used that as the conncetion to create an app. After this, I reopened the file and I see no _x0020_ in the DataField and DisplayName for each space in the column header. But I see that there is a new column titled "_PowerApps_Id_"
Have you tried with another workbook to have a test?
Regards,
Mona
Try and repro with a column name containing a space: I am guessing that is where the 0x20 comes from.
I have headers with a space:
When I connect the data up it adds the extra characters to the form labels:
I could change each one in the advanced options, but that seems like it shouldn't be that way. Either I take out the spaces in the excel file and change the display name or I keep them in there and change the display name.
Thanks for the help.
