Create Folder / Sub-Folder w/Columns(metadata)

I have the need to create folders with nested sub-folders and add columns.

I've gotten the folder/sub-folder part working with the following flow.

However, when I add the 'HTTP' call, to add the columns I get and error stating the source is not found, even though the source is present (called out in red below).

    Hi, @Phineas

According to your description, you are using the Sharepoint Rest API "_api/web/lists/getbytitle()" and you get the error code "404".

According to my search, your title contains spaces, probably because of this. You can try replacing the spaces with %20:
    Acme%20Company

And for more information, you can refer to :
java - SharePoint REST API: Not able to get list by getByTitle when list name contains spaces - Stack Overflow

Second, you can try to use Postman first to test that your API is callable successfully.

    Best Regards,

Your library is called 'Client Library', not 'Client Data' (that's a folder within the library).

Instead of having the Apply to each 3 to update the Title of the folder using Send an HTTP request, you can just do the following within the single Apply to each 2. So, create the folder then update the Title for it.

I'm now getting the 'folders' and 'sub-folders'; However, I am not getting the new additional columns in the 'sub-folders'.

My flow needs to add the following columns to each of the 'sub-folders'.

I'm not sure what you mean by adding columns to each folder. You can only add columns to a list/library, not each folder.

Well, this may be an unfortunate revelation.

This is the top level (Root Folder). Are you saying I can add columns at this level to this folder using the flow?

This is the second level (nested folders). Are you saying Flow isn't capable of adding the desired columns to this sub-folder, or the documents within these sub-folders?

If you wanted to have specific columns for each of the sub folders only, the only way you could do that is by creating a new Content Type that inherits from Folder, then add all your additional columns to that Content Type.

Then add that custom Content Type to your library (would need to go into Advanced settings and set Allow management of content types to Yes) and use that custom Content Type instead of the default Folder Content Type for the folders you want the columns on.

    Wow, okay.

So, to clarify, are you saying 'yes I can' add the columns to the root folder using Flow?

Yes you could. But you would only create the columns once and they would then be available to all folders (and/or files) depending on how you create them. If at the List/Library level then they would be on the items/files. If via a Content Type then you could specify folder or file. You can have as many Content Types as you want on a Library but would need to make sense. By default a Library has the default Document Content Type for files and default Folder Content Type for folders.

    Thank you

       1. When say "be available", does this mean I would need to go into the Root library 'Library Settings - All Items' and manually selected the columns (now made available by the flow), in order

to see them in the view?

       2. As the flow is creating the coulmns at the Root level, the columns would then also be made available 'To be Manually Chosen' into view fir the Sub-folder?
