Get file content using path - file not found

I have a power automate set up to get response details from a form when it's submitted, a parse JSON to pick out the images in the form and then want to get file content and move it elsewhere on sharepoint. Everything up until the get file content runs successfully. I've successfully done this with files on my OneDrive but when I try and do it with sharepoint, it is coming up to say that the file is not found. I've gone through the file path and the file is there, named correctly.

Can anyone spot where I'm going wrong!?

Please excuse the unfortunate shortening of 'analysis' on the second screenshot...

If it's in a SharePoint library, you use the Get file properties connector. If it's more than one file, use Get files (properties only). Then in the next step, use the identifying information that comes from those connectors.

If it's in a SharePoint list, use the Get items connector.

If I use the get file properties connector, it asks me to enter a file identifier and I can't choose the 'name' from the parse JSON I've run so cannot find the file.

Did you use the one named "Get file (properties only)"?

I've fixed it now and it is beyond stupid from Power Automate...

You have to use the OneDrive 'get file content' and then use the DriveID and ID from Parse JSON to point it at the Sharepoint library and then it works. Madness!

If you do what @annetoal recommended you dont need to do that, works like a fancy for me.

    Hi bud,

Got the same issue as you , cannot seem to find the file that gets uploaded.

Any chance you could screenshot the solution as i am at the end of my tether with this!

Daniel, could you share a screenshot of how you got this working? I'm struggling to make this work, and I'm hoping seeing how you used the DriveID and ID in the path will provide what I'm missing. Thx!! --sarah

Which identifying information can be used from 'Get file properties' for the File Path in 'Get file content using path'? Link to item didn't work...
