Custom Connector not reading the environment variable values.

Follow this approach.

Create a blank empty solution.
In this solution add,

Custom connector (WITHOUT environment variables in it)
Environment variables (WITH out current value)

Deploy this new solution (unmanaged) in the new environment.

We can see the custom connector got created and it has environment variables.

Now create values to the environment variable in the unmanaged solution.
In the custom connector, edit it to configure and use environment variables.
When we test this custom connector it works fine.

Now I want to brining in the original solution as managed. After importing this managed solution, the values of the custom connectors are overridden with environment variables. But it is not reading the values of the environment variables.

From the solution I could see the values for Environment variables, but they are not getting reflected in custom connector.

I have been trying all sorts of options since last 1 week, but there is no luck. The platform is behaving weirdly and it is never consistent. Also I do not know where can we see the logs or track the telemetry behind the operations performed in Custom Connector and why is it failing to create a connection.

Help and support is greatly appreciated. Looking for someone to help on this.
