possible bug: "Close Excel" action stalls when saving to OneDrive location

My flow saves an Excel file to local storage. If I save the file to a OneDrive location (e.g. C:\Users\[username]\OneDrive\Desktop\Excel2\ ), the flow stalls while the file syncs to the cloud. I can watch the status in Windows Explorer as the file is "syncing" (blue arrow circle) and as soon as the file is synced (green checkmark), the flow progresses.

Saving this file in a location that is NOT synced by OneDrive results in an instantaneous save and progression.

Why would the "Close Excel" action wait for the file to sync before completing the action and moving on?

Hi redennison,

Can you pls talk more about your problem.

From your message I get the problem is Excel does not sync with the one drive. May be this problem from OneDrive app so pls update your Office account.

In case I understand in wrong Pls explain what you are main problem and what you want to do with the flow I can help more!

Hi Kannan,

Thanks for the reply! It isn't that Excel doesn't sync with Onedrive, it's more that it waits for the file to be synced. For example, when I save the Excel file to a Onedrive location, PAD will not only wait until the file has been saved, but also wait the required time for the file to be synced with Onedrive (2-3mins) which is way too long for what I'm trying to accomplish. Is it possible to save the Excel file in a Onedrive location and tell PAD that it doesn't need to wait for the file to sync before proceeding?

I understand you Problem Buy I don't have any idea in that. My one option is using the Excel in Browser. That time the Excel will up to date. In case I get any answer, I will update you.
