Hi folks,

Could you please help with how to migrate a power pages site to a new environment? Will this procedure work: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/portals/admin/migrate-portal-configuration?tabs=CLI#:~:text=The%20Configuration%20Migration%20tool%20uses,has%20mismatch%20with%20selected%20schema , or does that just apply to the old powerapps portals?

Thank you.

Cheers,

Ben

    Hi @Anonymous

Yes. It is applicable for Power Pages as well. You can use the configuration migration tool which is in the same link or use the CLI commands for migration.

Personally, I like the configuration migration tool which has an excellent GUI.

Additional, you can also use XRM Toolbox "Portal Records Mover" tool as well

    Hope it helps.

    Hi @ragavanrajan
I have one doubt about migration, Is it possible to migrate the power page site within the same environment with all data and customizations in the source power page site?
What my need is I have developed one power page site in my environment and I have made some customization in my site. My trail was only left for 3 days for that site so I have to move the power page site to a new power page site within the same environment. And here is a point my environment also contain another 2 different power page site.

    Thanks in advance! @ragavanrajan

I've recently used this tool in XrmToolbox that helped me duplicating my portal within the same environment: Portals 365 Duplicator  Â· XrmToolBox

Absolutely, have you provisioned the portal in your target tenant/environment? you have many options to migrate the portal:

    • PAC CLI - pro-dev
    • export/import manually via XrmToolbox
    • export/import manually via Configuration Migration

did you try any above? please let us know if you face any issues

Yes @OliverRodrigues I want some clarification please explain to me in detail, I want to migrate my table and data also if I export the portal data using the Cmt tool it only transfers portal site content snippet, web templates(Which means only 32 entities). But I need to transfer also my solution table and data to another environment.
Simple words mean I want to clone my entire portal site environment to another environment related to that portal including power automate flow, solution for the portal, I have created in the source environment.

    Thank you in advance @OliverRodrigues

    Hi @Madhankumar_L

You need to look at Dataverse ALM as a whole, this video from Reza has great details on the main concepts you need to know: Solutions in Power Platform | ALM, Power Apps, flows & Environments - YouTube

Plenty of documentation to read as well: Application lifecycle management (ALM) with Microsoft Power Platform - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn

On a very high-level, you need to:

    • Create your target environment
    • Provision the Portal on your target environment
    • Pack components into solution(s) in your source env (usually DEV)
    • Export solutions from source env
    • Import solutions to target env
    • Similar for data
    • Then Portals
