Power Automate Desktop Error : Can't access UI Elements"

Hi, I’m trying to automate a legacy Windows PC accounting app using Power Automate Desktop. Usually you can specify UI elements from the app and automate it. You will see a red box around the UI element that the app can 'see'.

Unfortunately, Power Automate cannot ‘see’ this app and has an error : “Can’t access UI elements. The application you are trying to capture UI elements from is currently running with elevated rights while Power Automate isn’t. Please run Power Automate for desktop as an administrator and try again.”

I’m 100% sure that Power Automate is running as admin, because I opened the program by right-clicking on it and selecting ‘Run as administrator’. The app in question is Sage 50 US accounting software, but I get the same error with other apps too.

It might be because the app is running as the Administrator user, while PAD is running as your own user. See this old Reddit thread about it: https://www.reddit.com/r/MicrosoftFlow/comments/x4nywf/power_automate_cant_access_ui_elements/

Hi,
Try using recorder present under tools to capture uielement. Some time it helps to get selectors. then modify selector if needed.
