Export to File for Paginated Reports - Export is File type, not XLSX selected

Hi all,

Hoping someone can assist in troubleshooting this flow.

Use Case: I need to export a paginated report (it is a table only) to sharepoint in .xlsx or .csv format. From there, I would like the flow to also email a copy of that file to consumers on the first Monday of each month.

I've set up my flow like below using a template provided from Power Automate and a few adjustments for my needs. The issue is, I am getting the export in FILE type instead of .xlsx, which doesn't work for my needs. I am able to open the file with Excel and it presents correctly, but I cannot send the FILE to users this way, nor an I merge this with existing files in Power BI power query that's in production already. Any ideas on how to save it in proper format?

Output Format: Testing is the generated file.

    Hello @Anonymous

Could you please share how it's your "Create file" action setup?

Are you including the extension of the file that you are trying to create? For example:

With this test, I had this result in the SharePoint site:

    Erlandcrf_1-1604676324113.png

I Hope this can be helpful.

    Thanks.

@Perlar  you are right! I didn't know that was necessary. Changed in both my export and email and it's working beautifully!

Thank you so much. This new task is a lifesaver!
