Approval Flow to Trigger after a Status is Updated

Hello,

Have set up an an Approval flow, I would like this to start once the status has been updated from the prevoius action.

Currently, user would be assigned a task and be notified via email, the user goes in and completes the task and updates the value to Action Complete - Awaiting Approval. I've searched everwhere and pretty much try most available triggers, action and configurations.

Any advice?

It sounds like all you need to do is add a condition at the top of your Flow that checks the status.

Let me know if you need an example.

You will use two Flows:

One Flow that runs when an item is created that simply send an email

One Flow that runs when an item is created or changed that checks the approvalstatus and takes action as appropriate. If the status is not what you are looking for, the Flow ends. Otherwise, an approval will be started. In my example, the approval status column is called Status. Please note that my status column is a choice column. Therefore, I referenced Status Value in Dynamic
