APPLIED SKILLS Create and manage automated processes by using Power Automate

Hello - I've failed this exam a couple of times - I'm struggling with Task 2 - the leave flow - sending notification to manager etc.

I use an automatic flow - sharepoint when a file is update - then O365 user lookup - 0365 manager look up (because manager is not in the sharepoint list) - Outlook send email VA - sharepoint update item - thats where I think I'm failing?

See attached

I'd greatly appreciate a pointer in the right direction on where I'm going wrong???

    Hi @CStafford,

    I hope I can help.

The issue is with the create and configure actions for notifications as indicated by exam results.

Your Triggers and Implementing Conditional Logic is fine.

Try this as a fix - sharepoint when a file is update - then *Get my profile V2, *Get manager V2, Outlook send email VA - sharepoint update item.

Remember to test this out in Power Automate first to ensure that it works before retaking the exam.

You will need to create a sharepoint list with the relevant columns for the test to work.

I would suggest that you take the Guided project before the exam too.

    Good luck!!!

    Hi @CStafford ,

Just circling back on this. Did you manage to try the suggested fix?

    Cheers,
