I currently have an which only writes data to Sharepoint Online Lists. We are using Power BI to create visuals / reports that was written to Sharepoint Online Lists.Just wanted to understand migrating to SQL mounted on a Azure VM will be significantly helpfull in anyways ?

In general, SQL Server works better with PowerApps because it provides better query delegation support.
Assuming that your current setup with SharePoint/Power BI works, is there any specific problem that you're facing that's prompting you to consider SQL Server?
Just wanted to understand whether will be any significant increase in the performance?
