How to solve the issue, "The Request is Blocked", with WAF (firewall) enabled

Hi everyone, 

 

Part of the release checklist is enabling WAF. However, when I tested my forms with a file upload feature, upon submission the browser redirected me to the page below saying:

Upon investigation in forums and the internet, I found that the cause is because of WAF. I disabled it and it turned out okay. However, I recognize the importance of the firewall feature. The question is how do I access the WAF and disable some of the rules inside it? 

 

There's a similar post below with the same issue but the only solution was disabling WAF.

    Hi @apangeles 

    You can create an "application gateway" like below. Create Resource > Application gateway  or Create a WAF

    Note: You don't need to be a tenant administrator. But you should have permission for any active subscription with the allocated resource group 

     

    Every company IT team has the same problem. From my experience, it always ends with the contention of what you are trying to do.  When taking this with IT, don't veer your point. 

     

    One thing I can assure you is it doesn't affect the whole organization.  As an environment administrator with relevant Azure resource group access, you can maintain the DRS Rules. If possible a bit of PP administrator is also handy.

    Hi @ragavanrajan

     

    Thank you for the advice. I think I saw this article while looking at the topic. But I'm not really sure where these are located. Do I need to be a tenant administrator? Meaning I should be in our IT team with the proper roles and permissions to access these? Our team's weary about consulting these with our IT because of the sensitive issue about security in our organization. Will it affect the whole organization? 

     

    Though I am the administrator of the environment that I created. Do I have access to these Azure rules specific only to the environment I created?

     

    I apologize in advance for a lot of questions. Thank you in advance though.

    Hi @apangeles 

     

    The WAF functionality is still in preview. It is not yet GA. However, If you would like to change the rules. You can do it via Azure-managed "DRS 2.0 Rule Sets"
