V2 changes connecting to SQL Server

I am trying to run a simple select statement from our on premise SQL Server.

I have a stored procedure to do this which runs, but I am struggling with how to get the results.

I have found several tutorials but wondering if things have changed.

All my Flows have (V2) eg Execute stored procedure (V2) where the tutorials do not have V2.

When I put in my Select Flow and click the From, there is only an icon that says PowerApps - Select_From

Am I doing something wrong, have I missed something obvious or are these new changes.

Here is the tutorial I am attempting to follow now.

https://powerapps.microsoft.com/sv-se/blog/return-an-array-from-a-sql-stored-procedure-to-powerapps-split-method/

Here is what I see

Its not that you are doing anything wrong.  But Stored Procedures have limitations for on-premises connections through a gateway and aren't really supported. Here's the list of limitations from the documentation.  https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/sql/

When invoking a Stored Procedure on an on-premises SQL server, we have the following limitations:

    • Output values for OUTPUT parameters are not returned. You can still specify input values for OUTPUT parameters.
    • Return value is not available.
    • Only the first result set is returned.
    • Dynamics schemas are not supported for result sets.

Ok so what are my options then?

Other than moving the database to Azure SQL your only other option is to not use a stored procedure and get the return data another way.
