A new machine is created when upgrading Power Automate. Had to create a new Connection to this machine and update all of my cloud flows manually to point to this new connection.

On upgrading to newer version of PowerAutomate, from 2.26 to 2.27, on restarting PowerAutomateMachineRuntime app, my machine is re-registered.
So under the “Machines” page is see my machine name (Same name) with the new version 2.27 connected and also the old copy of my machine 2.26 disconnected.
I had to manually update all my Cloud flows again to point to the new machine connection.
Also when connecting to the new machine inside the edit CloudFlow step, the list of connections shows my machine name twice without version details there, so it’s confusing at that point which is the connected one. Have to keep trying until the “Invalid connection” error is resolved.

Why does the same machine have to be registered again on getting a version update?

Why does the older machine registrated not get updated automatically?
Is there a possibility to not have my existing flows to have to manually update connections, can the existing flows not automatically updated to the newer version of connection?

    Hi,

Had kinda the same problem this week. I am using a virtual machine and shutting the machine on and off worked for me.
