Patch complains columns doesn't exist when it does

I have a button that will create a new record in my table. This worked when my underlying data was in an Excel Online table, but I changed the source to a SharePoint list. The error message I receive is a bit odd because it says that the column does not exist, and the column it suggests has the exact same name.

The attached image is in Norwegian, but let me translate:

"The given column OperationId doesn't exist. The column with the most similar name is OperationId."

I've underlined the column names. This doesn't make sense to me. I've tried to close the app. Reimport the data, refresh. Delete the table and then reimport again.

It can sometimes be tricky referencing a SharePoint column.   If you have renamed the column, it only changes the 'display name' of the column, not the underlying name.

Go to your SharePoint list, list settings and check the column name as shown below to make sure you are referencing it correctly.

Hover over the column name in list settings.   Look at the bottom of your screen, where you will see a link to the column appear, it will expand after a second or two and you will be able to read the actual column name at the end.  If the name is different than the 'display name' you see in list settings, try using the name of the column as shown in the column link.   You will also want to make the column name in your Power Apps collection match the name in the SharePoint list.

This makes sense but is confusing. I didn't have a "Title" column and all SharePoint lists seem to require this.

Did you rename your title column?    Typically the first column shown in your SharePoint list settings is the 'Title' column and is required.   I would start there and see what the very first column shown is in list settings and then hover over it as I explained above and see what it's 'real' name is.

Yes, that was the problem. I used the new Microsoft Lists experience where I imported an existing Excel sheet. One of the columns was marked as "Title", but it's display name was automatically renamed to the column name in Excel. So the "real" name (Title) was obscured away.
