Creating Button in Outlook to modify specific Sharepoint item

Hi all,

I have a PowerAutomate flow that will email a group a group of users when an item is created on a Sharepoint. I'm wondering if it's possible to create a button that can be embedded on the generated email that will modify a Sharepoint column of only the item that was just created.

Is this possible - and if so, how would I go about this?

Thank you!

    Hi,

Yes and absolutely!  Please check out Send email with options!  Here you can generate custom buttons that can do different things; such as if "Update Item" was pressed, that can come back into your flow and do the item update if it exists, etc.

    Samples:

In both of these examples, there's a button to update the status of a test item.

This action is really easy to work with and customize the buttons; I typically keep the button options to no more than 6 and no more than 10-15 characters each.

    Hi,

I ended up solving this issue like below. First, I send the email and then have it check if the button has been clicked with do until loop. When that's true, then it updates the item.
