Add a button in your app with this code in the OnSelect:
If(
varTimerRunning,
UpdateContext({varTimerRunning: false}),
UpdateContext({varTimerRunning: true})
)
Create a timer control in your app and set its Start property to varTimerRunning.
Clicking on the button will start the timer. If you click again it will stop the timer.
