Power Automate Desktop Flow really unstable

Hey guys, I have created a RPA flow, in which I am going to a website and populating the data. I have used Recorder to record the steps. When I am running it, sometimes it runs fine, sometimes it gives errors at any step (Every time its a different step). So, its pretty unstable. So what could be the reason/reasons?? Could it be like some changes in UI could be causing it. Below I am adding the error I am getting. There is one more doubt I have. So when we trigger a desktop flow from a cloud flow, while creating a connection, there are two ways by which we can do it. One is directly to a machine and one is by data gateway, so what are the differences between the two? And if the recording consist of me scrolling down, sometimes it gives error there too.

Error: Form field with selector 'html > body > div:eq(22) > form > div:eq(2) > div > div > div:eq(1) > div > div:eq(3) > div:eq(0) > div:eq(0) > div:eq(1) > input' not found.

I'll answer your second question first.  Data Gateway connections are deprecated, and support is due to be dropped very soon.  It may already have been dropped, I don't remember if the date was Aug. 1 or Sept. 1, but it's definitely imminent.  Originally, Date Gateways were the only option, but going direct to the machine is much more stable, so gateways are being dropped.

For your second question, its hard to say.  But I suspect its because you are selecting the form field to fill in based on a long string of html selectors.  If any of those aren't in the same order because something on the page changed or rearranged you will get the error you are getting.  I would suggest modifying the selector to work with an ID if possible. That would be more stable.  But that all depends on how the web site was designed.
